James and Adelta Upshur are Ministers of the Gospel, Agents of Change and Vessels that the Lord is flowing through. When God brought us and our two sons to Orange County Warwick, New York in 1992, we knew it was our Mission field. In June, 1998 the Lord gave us a charge Isaiah 61:1 "Bind up the broken hearted and set the captives free." So Faith Hope and Love Ministries was birthed. James has a passion for our Youth and young men and I have a passion to encourage and restore Women and Girls who are broken. Together we desire to build strong families with a passion for Jesus. We knew we were called by the warfare we encountered. We went through Job loss, Bankruptcy, Foreclosures, Repossession, Deception by people whom we thought were our friends, Illnesses and much more, but we never loosed faith in the God who has Called, Anointed and Appointed us. Like Job we have said," though He slay us yet will we trust Him." Job 13:15 Blessed be the name of the Lord. We went through the fire and did not burn. We went through the flood and did not drown. We know that God wants our lives to be TRANSPARENT so that we can be a Testimony of His goodness towards his children who are able to STAND. Today we can say that God has empowered us to effectively communicate to others the vibrant Faith, Hope and Love that he has bestowed upon us in the midst of the struggles that we have overcome and continue to overcome. The Lord, who is our constant companion has taught us how to stand and stay in Peace, Joy and Love no matter what the circumstances may be and for that we are very grateful. The Lord is enlarging our territory like he had promised with co-laborers who possess the same passion and love for Him and His people. All God ever wanted was for us to say yes and step out in FAITH. We are convinced that, no weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against us in judgement shall be condemn Isaiah 54:17 We are blessed with the prayers and support of our family and good friends who also have a passion for the Youth of our society and for Kingdom building. There are Souls at stake, there are Families at stake, our Youth is at stake, there is work to be done, and we will not be weary in well doing. Gal. 6:9 To God be the Glory. A hundred years from now, it will not matter what our Bank Account was, the sort of House we lived in, or the kind of Car we drove but, the world would be a better place because, we were involved in the lives of our young people.
